About the Siberian Tiger painting
Aaron Heath
This weblog is my personal space. Generally the content is cultural observations or political thoughts, but more and more I use the space as an online journal and a medium to thrash out concepts and ideas.
I’m a freelance writer, copywriter, editor, blogger, and sometime accountant.
I am based in Newark on Trent. I live with my beautiful fiancé Olja, our boy Danilo, and our baby-girl Vitaliya.
I’m a political junkie. I read newspapers, books, and blogs voraciously, and have a dirty little habit of listening to political Podcasts while washing the dishes.
Having flirted with rightwing libertarian politics in the past, I am now safely back in the Classical Liberal fold, so I am still armed with a healthy scepticism of centralised government and a disdain for politicians in general. I have been blogging for a few years now.
(For my sins) I read The Guardian. A list of magazines I read can be found here.
Other interests include football (Sunderland), cricket (Notts), cinema, literature, and mountain biking (I have an Orange). I loathe 99% of the junk that is broadcast on TV, but I love political programming, South Park, and some of the other leftfield comedy shows.
I like oriental food (especially Korean), Macintosh computers, Nintendo, green tea, arguing, New Balance trainers, and single malt scotch. I rarely wear jeans. My music taste is eclectic. I love Jazz, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, The Stone Roses, and Dire Straits. The music being released at the moment is mainly shit, but I do like Queens of the Stone Age, System of a Down, Muse, and The Killers.
I travel regularly. Usually to Eastern Europe, and I go to Novosibirsk (Siberia) every couple of years for a few weeks. If you click on the travel category you can read about my travels.
I believe that Blogs will fundamentally change our interpretation of democracy.
