Have you read Simon Jenkins’ Op-Ed in today’s Sunday Times?

Jenkins’ - normally - really bugs me, but this is a very well thought-out piece and is very close to my thoughts on the relationship between the West and Islam.

And in a Murdoch paper too!

    Do join in! You love battles royal, don’t you? I’m trying hard in the Arena to get some civilised discussions going with amenable Americans, but they’re hard to find - all so touchy nowadays! Did you see Gary Younge and following comment thread in this morning’s CiF? V interesting.

    The comments are more interesting than the article, as is often the case with CiF.
