In a pre-budget statement, the Chancellor Alistair Darling has hijacked Tory plans to slash inheritance tax.
Naturally, the Tories are apoplectic. Iain Dale has even dug up a load of Labour quotes from yesteryear. Te hehe.

Didn’t the Tories nick their non-domicile idea from the Lib Dems? And didn’t they say that it was rubbish at the time?
Mind you, if Labour is going to steal policies from the Tories, I wish they’d try to find some good ones (difficult, I know).
I don´t see what the fuss is about - it might be rubbish politics by Brown and Darling, but who cares where policy ideas come from - IF they´re popular and/or right, then I don´t see the problem with taking ideas from anyone anytime.
The way they managed the whole thing was startling in its ineptness, but that´s another story.
