    Perhaps Mr. Abbas should explain why he wasn’t able to secure the release of Johnston before. In my opinion Abbas is a very weak ruler with no control of the situation in the region.

    Hey Jose,

    Yeah, Abbas did lose control of Gaza last year. But all the big players helped to weaken him. Tel Aviv will see no benefit in having a strong united Palestinian Authority.

    I feel for Abbas, I think he’s a good man. Not a leader - but a good man.
