But what if United do win?

I’m going to find it hard to want an English side to lose in a Champions League Semi, but the possibility of both Manchester United and Liverpool fans descending on Athens worries me.

Premiership ties between the two sides usually involve a noonish kick-off to minimise the alcohol consumption among the fans, and the police invariably treat the clashes as high risk.

Liverpool Chief-Exec, Rick Parry, is right to worry.

Maybe another Milan v Liverpool final would be preferable? This season’s European competitions have been marred by violence, and I’m pretty sure ‘those continentals’ would love to dump sole responsibility upon the British game.

I’m pretty sure I’ll still cheer any United goals, though.

At the same time, the fact that Milan have a chance of winning the Champions League this year is nothing short of a total and utter disgrace. They were rightly kicked out for bribing referees, but Berlusconi pulled a few strings and managed to get his time reinstated. What they are living proof of is that cheating does pay off, even if you get caught. It stinks.

    Hi Ken,

You have a point. But Milan were sort of caught up in the fiasco, unlike Juventus. Evidence released last week suggest Juve were deeper than people thought.

Rock on Athrna! Up the POOL!

Where oh where was Cristiano Ronaldo? Yet more media hype. Kaka showed him what true class is.

Christiano Ronaldo, to be fair, has been brilliant in the Premiership this season.

If last night’s Milan turn up in Athens, then Liverpool are screwed. They will not ease of the gas this time…
