I’m very busy today, so how about a quick list?

Ten Guilty Secrets

  • I watch Top Gear

  • I like guns (I just can’t help it; even as a child I was a crack shot)

  • My first proper record was Kylie Minogue’s debut on vinyl in 1988 (I was ten, be kind – luckily I fell in the right crowd and discovered The Stone Roses)

  • I don’t like bananas, even though I like the idea of them

  • I fly three or four times a year, I drive a 2.0ltr petrol saloon, and only recently have I started turning the TV off properly (as opposed to stand-by)

  • I think Pot Noodles are tasty

  • As are homemade cheeseburgers

  • And I can’t help but want to try a Turkey Twizzler

  • I hate all football teams who play in claret and blue (Villa, West Ham, Burnley etc). It’s utterly irrational I know

  • I spend too long reading magazines in the loo (it’s an escape)

    Thinking the Monday list may become a new feature

      This list is a marketing man’s dream. Prepare yourself for an inbox full of junk from Jeremy Clarkson, the NRA, Stock Aitken and Waterman, Bernard Matthews and the Inter City Firm.

      Dare we ask what (ahem) magazines you read alone in the loo?

      Mags? Time usually. That or Private Eye.

      I like pot noodles to some extent, but I like bananas more. I like Mondays too, would probably like guns if I ever got to fire one, but am too short-sighted to actually hit anything far away (by far away, I mean about 30cm).

      I’m with you two thirds of the way on teh claret and blue issue but West Ham? I will just have to set the cats on you for that!

      Nothing against West Ham per se, I just hate claret and blue football jerseys - always have. Like I said: irrational I know. Please don’t set the moggies on me.

      Football shirts, like most things in life, should be simple yet elegant - like the crisp lilywhite of the mighty Leeds United.
