tyger the bookseller

bookshop

It has always been a dream of mine to run a quaint little bookshop. I would know all my customers personally and be able to recommend tomes to suit their different tastes. It would be dark, dusty, and oozing in character. I would sell well-chosen books - possibly travel ones - to people who knew the value of good literature. Then one hot summer’s morning the front door would squeak open, and through the bright light would emerge the shapely form of Julia Roberts. We would enjoy a wonderful summer of hot sex before the News of the World ruined it all by splashing our sordid affair all over its front page…

Dreams can come true (at least some of them). I’m now officially a bookseller, although these ones are political ones, so the chances are I will not have any Julia types hanging around. You can visit the tygerland store at Politicos.

Well Jose, don’t be shy. If there is a political book you’re after, you know where to go.

“Orwell and Politics” (Penguin Classics 2001) - have you got that one, Tyger ? Mine has just fallen to bits - with some bits bitten and eaten by the b….. dog here.

I’m all for ‘Thought for Food’…but not in ‘Lucy’ our rough collie puppy !

Why not? Some women like politics too.

Good luck with the venture. Great idea.
