If you didn’t rely on rubbish shops like WHSmiths you might be all right. Go and live in a proper city, not Newark. Even Crawley has an Ottokar’s and Crawley is very horrid, except the wonderful Blue India restaurant - if you’re there, have the crab thing with cheese as a starter. Superb.
Hey leave Newark alone. You should come over next time you’re visiting your folks. We have a great selection of Bistro’s and restaurants. I don’t see me visiting Crawley anytime soon, but beware, one of my more vociferous readers is from Gatwick City.
Also - Lincoln is only twenty minutes away. So ner!
Sorry tyger, but I am an urban animal and Newark and Lincoln count as little more than rural towns to me. Of course I’ve never been to either, so am not in the best position to judge.

You may be able to count Madrid, London, Leeds, and New York as your previous stomping grounds, but until you have seen the Christmas Market at Lincoln Castle, you ain’t seen nothing!
