Well I really crapped-out on yesterday’s prediction, so I’ll be more conservative tonight: France 2 Portugal 1
The French were outstanding in the quarterfinal and Zidane reminded us why he’s the best player of his generation – even if most of that generation now spend their Saturday afternoons ironing creases down the front of their jeans. I can’t help but think that they will have too much class for the Portuguese, and in Henry, they have a proven finisher; something Pauleta isn’t.
If their dire performance against a 10-man England is anything to go by, the Portuguese will get absolutely tonked, but they are resilient and they do have a great manager in ‘Big’ Phil Scolari.
Personally I hope Portugal get thrashed.
