Excuses, excuses….

I am currently engrossed in a fairly large project, which will hinder regular posting to this blog. In fact I’m writing a novel. I have written just over 5,200 words; I expect the final text to be around the 150,000-word mark, so it’s a decent start, but a long way to go.
I will not be providing a synopsis, just yet, as I’m careful not to give anyone the chance to gazump my idea. No doubt I’ll still blog away, just not as frequently as I have been.

Pretty good, Tyger. You’ll do splendidly.
Best of luck, Tyger. I have tried to do the same on several occasions in the last year. Each time I get to the ~5,000 word mark, then hit a wall, get distracted, start something else in the meantime, and never muster the energy to return to the project. Perseverence isn’t a cheap commodity. A year ago, my wife cranked out a beauty (~100,000) in about three weeks and has since been tweaking and nudging it towards an impossible limit, so it still sits “unfinished” on the desktop. I hope that you have more success! If so, then I’ll be eager to hear how you managed (and eager to read it).
Thank’s you two.
And Chagnon, thanks for the advice. No doubt I’ll hit a few brick walls, but I have a plot, and a narrative path already worked out. Now it’s a simple case of getting it written down….
good luck tyger, i admire your determination and your enthusiasm for keeping yourself busy and enjoying life!
thats what its all about!
live for today, and greet tomorow when it arrives with an ever greater amount of vigour!
